At over 80 years young, she still loves coming out to events and connecting with guests. One of her favorite parts of the job is chatting with families in Spanish and helping everyone feel welcome.

Most people don’t know that she was also an actress and appeared in the classic Mexican film Por Mis Pistolas. 🎬

Today, instead of being on the big screen, she’s creating smiles one glitter tattoo at a time.

We love having her as part of Fiesta Face Paint, and our customers adore her just as much. ✨

Looking back at these pictures is crazy. In the first month of painting my designs were honestly awful 😂 and somehow my bestie still sat there letting me practice and hyping me up like I was creating masterpieces. Real friendship lol. @iammama.melissa

Most of all shoutout to all the moms. Motherhood is beautiful, exhausting, stretching, and life changing all at once. Face painting became my creative outlet in the middle of it all something that reminded me I could still create, grow, build, and dream.

Today was the first day back at work after maternity leave. And I was so happy to get back into it :)

BIG CHANGE - Little update here.

After working hard to earn 5-star reviews and make so many customers happy, I was shocked to learn that Etsy decided to close my account permanently 😢. It’s definitely a sad moment, because I know how helpful it is to have time-saving hacks in life — we all get busy, and sometimes we don’t want to do everything ourselves. Think grocery pickup or Amazon delivery instead of running all over town.

Even though this was unexpected, I wanted to stay resilient — I wasn’t going to shut things down completely. So today I spent some time uploading my designs to my website and sharing them here on IG so you can still have access 💻✨.

EMBARRASSING STORY

So picture this… I’m at a festival, everything’s running smoothly, and at the end of the day I lock up my Craft-n-Go, grab the key, and head home. 🚗🔑

That same evening, my husband and I buy a new-to-us car (super exciting, right?). Fast forward to the next morning: I drive the new car back to the event, feeling all proud… until I arrive and realize the key for my face painting kit is still on my old keychain. 😱 Major panic.

But here’s where the miracle happened. I had a second painter scheduled to join me later that day. I called her and asked if she could swing by to grab the key for me before heading over. And she goes, ‘Oh! I actually left my own kit under the table yesterday — you can use mine until I get there!’

Talk about relief! 😅 I honestly thought she had packed hers up, but nope — it was sitting there waiting for me. I used her kit until she arrived, then we swapped back again.
